The key purpose of the visit was to fulfill the student's objective in a methodical manner and to enable them to acquire realistic & closer knowledge of the fundamental projects and acquire industrial skills thus inculcating the values of nature conservation among the future builders of our country.
All students of Civil Department along with staff members of Marketing went for a special industry visit at Sewage Treatment Plant which Genex Utility management services located in Bangalore, Karnataka. established in 2015, Genex Utility excels in treating the domestic wastewater coming from the IT city of Bangalore.
A brief description about the entire plant was given by Mr. Jeevan Raj in the conference room with the help of schematic flow chart. Students were enlightened with the fundamental concept of the primary, secondary and tertiary treatment of wastewater, in further how the sludge is being used for agricultural purposes along with the left out gases at the end of the treatment are pressurized and then sold in to the market. All the students gathered on the terrace of the main building and then components of the plant were shown by Mr. Raj.
Students were in brief guided to the Process Units, Biological Treatment Units, Sludge System Unit and Gas Utilization System. Students were introduced with various features of sewage treatment plant and how the various process of waste water treatment plants are carried out.
Students visited the entire plant and got intricate information about Waste Water Engineering. They also interpreted their doubts during the plant visit. It also shed a light upon them with an opportunity to come a step closer to their educational experience that forms the base for a promising career.
